BLOG SPOT with……Shattered Souls by Daniele Lanzarotta

Finally the much anticipated Book #5 in the Imprinted Souls Series is finally available.

Description:
It has been thirty years since Lexi made her choice. With time, many things have changed,
but others... never will. As her past comes back to haunt her, one vampire is destroyed, and Lexi is the one blamed for his true death. She is now being hunted by her own kind, and as much as Nicholas tries to protect her on his own, that is not enough. He needs help, and he values her far too much to ask for help from just anyone. They encounter ghosts of their pasts, face their worst fears, and above all, heartbreaks strong enough to shatter souls beyond repair.

About the Author:
Daniele Lanzarotta is the author of YA paranormal novels, including the Imprinted Souls Series and Academy of the Fallen. She has a bachelor's in business and finance and a MBA. With only a few semesters left in school, Daniele started writing as a hobby, but it didn't take long for her to be consumed by her stories. That is her passion, and she now has several projects under way. She enjoys reading and writing young adult novels with just about any sort of paranormal or supernatural bent...vampires... ghosts... She also enjoys watching hockey, playing rock band, guitar hero and spending time with the family.

Author Interview:
Where do you get your writing inspiration from?
From the most random places, but mostly, from music… I have listened to songs that led to a whole new idea or that ended up completely changing my outline.

Did you have to do any research for your books? If so what?
For the Imprinted Souls Series, my research was very limited to locations and names. Academy of the Fallen involves a lot more research in relation to fallen angels, their names, meanings, and so on. It is actually pretty fun research!

What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on Sins of the Fallen, which is the third Academy of the Fallen novel.

What is the hardest part of writing for you?
Definitely having to let go characters that I’ve grown attached to.

What can readers expect next?
Oh, I have so much planned! *grins*  Besides Sins of the Fallen, there will also be the Imprinted Souls Series spin-off, which is called The Reawakening Series.  I also have a few other projects, but they are in the beginning stages right now… to early to give information on those. *winks*

What question have you always wanted to be asked in an interview and how would you answer that question?
I have never been asked if I dislike any of my characters.  I guess people assume that I created them so I like them all, but Loren from Imprinted Souls has always annoyed me. *laughs* I disliked him from the beginning, which ended up being a good thing… I think my annoyance for his character really reflects on how he is portrayed in the books.

If you were writing a book about your life, what would the title be?
Now, this is a tough question!  Ah, the possibilities… Maybe, ‘Living in a Fictional World’ *laughs*

Who is your favorite author?
Richelle Mead.  I like her writing style and you can’t help but to get attached to her characters.
