Excerpt:
Dante looked up at the guards. "My
associate and I are here to collect a bounty. I believe this fire cracker here
has a large bounty on her pretty little head, that is the only reason I haven't
ripped it off, although, it is quite tempting. She is the one who killed Lakai.
Renee Draven is her name. Now if you will excuse us we have some business to
attend to."
The one guard came up to Renee and
grabbed her by her hair, lifting her head up. He got right in her face with
breath that could peel paint off a wall. "So you are the filthy little
witch that killed Master Lakai? Blyth
warned us about you. You do not look so tough. I could snap you like a
twig." He belted out a hearty laugh.
Renee looked up at the demon guard
"Yeah? Well, unchain me and I will show you what kind of horror this
little witch can bestow upon you." She spat in his face.
The demon instantly grew enraged. He
slapped her across the face and looked over at Dante. "Wicked little
tongue the witch has. I would like to bite it out of her mouth."
