My Blood Approves Series by Amanda Hocking {Read in Mar. 2011}

I continued on with Amanda’s My Blood Approves series which consists of: My Blood Approves, Fate, Flutter, Wisdom, and Letters to Elise (Novella).   Currently there is no release date for the 5th book Swear.  I fell in love with this series.  I went thru every emotion with Alice and fell in love with Jack and Peter.  I love Amanda’s spin on “Vampires”.  I read these books in maybe 3 days.  I was actually sad when I came to the last book.  The series follows Alice thru her stepping into the Vampire world and dealing with its struggles.   I love the twists and turn throughout the series.  Just when you think things are going one way; Amanda surprises and takes it another direction.  I give the series 4 out of 5 stars.

Hollowland by Amanda Hocking {Read in Feb. 2011}

After reading Amanda’s Trylle Trilogy I decided to read another one of her books.  The cover to Hollowland really drew me in.  I read this book in a day.  The story is captivating from the first couple of pages.  Remy is a great heroin in the book.  I was right there with her through her struggles.  The journey is shocking and puts you on the edge of your page (play on edge of your seat).  We have all thought about the end of the world and I love the twist to it.  The only drawback was I didn’t know that it was the first book of a series (The Hollows).  Hollowmen is on my “To Read” list! I would give the book 3 out of 5 stars.

Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking { Read in February 2011}

The trilogy consists of: Switched, Torn, & Ascend.  Switched was the first book I purchased on my new Nook and the first book I read by Amanda Hocking.  I quickly feel in love with her way of writing and the characters.  I was hooked within the first couple of pages and read the trilogy in two days.  The trilogy follows Wendy through her journey to discover her real life and her purpose.  Wendy is extremely easy to relate to.  Torn and Ascend were just as exciting and capturing as Switched.  I love the way the story flows and that there is no repetition in the second and third books while attempting to refresh readers of the story line. I would give the trilogy 3.5 out of 5 stars. (The only reason for the 3.5 is because I'm waiting on book #5)

Getting Started....

I have found my passion for reading and want to share my thoughts on books with others as well as get their input on their reads.  I am getting started with this blog and other accounts.  Looking forward to more postings soon.
